Cookie Policy
Effective Date: October 25, 2026
Last Updated: October 25, 2026
1. Purpose
This Cookie Policy explains how Ask The Consultants LLC (“ASK”) uses cookies, tags, and similar technologies on asktheconsultants.com (the “Site”). It should be read with the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Security & Legal Disclaimer. It is governed by Kentucky law as described in Section 56 of the Terms of Service.
This Policy describes what the Site actually runs, based on a review of the live Site on the date above. ASK will not state that a technology is absent if it is installed or able to run on the live Site. Cookie names, durations, and vendor behavior can change as browsers, plugins, and vendors change, so the consent banner and ASK’s internal inventory should be read together with this Policy.
2. What These Technologies Are
Cookies are small data files stored by your browser. Similar technologies, such as tags and local storage, can recognize a browser, remember a choice, measure a page view, protect a form, or send information to a service provider.
3. What the Site Uses Today
| Technology | Provider | What it does | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consent banner | Cookiez | Shows your cookie choices and remembers what you picked | Strictly necessary |
| Bot and traffic protection | Cloudflare (via ASK’s host) | Tells real visitors apart from automated traffic | Strictly necessary |
| Form security | Google reCAPTCHA v3 | Checks form submissions for spam and abuse | Strictly necessary |
| Tag management | Google Tag Manager | Loads Google Analytics; does not itself store personal data | Analytics |
| Site analytics | Google Analytics | Counts page views, traffic sources, and anonymous button and form-completion events | Analytics |
| Advertising and retargeting | Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, and similar platforms ASK activates | Measures ad results and shows ASK’s ads to past Site visitors on other sites and apps | Advertising |
| Device memory for the “Visit this provider” form | ASK | Remembers that you completed the form so you are not asked again on that device | Functional |
| Newsletter | MailPoet | Manages newsletter sign-ups you choose to make | Functional |
| Website platform | WordPress and Elementor | Runs the Site and its forms | Strictly necessary |
ASK has turned off Google signals and does not use Google Analytics demographic or interest reports. Form-completion events send only the name of the form, never what you typed.
4. Advertising and What the Site Does Not Use
ASK uses advertising and retargeting technologies to measure its ads and to show ASK’s ads to people who visited the Site. These technologies may collect page URLs, referrer, IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, cookie or pseudonymous identifiers, and ad-interaction events. This is targeted advertising, and you can opt out as described in Section 5. ASK keeps its internal inventory current as it turns platforms on or off.
The Site does not use session replay, heat-mapping, keystroke capture, or live chat. ASK will update this Policy, and add any consent or opt-out control the law requires, before adding any of these. A tag will not be deployed first and disclosed later.
5. Your Choices
The Site uses an opt-out model. Analytics and advertising technologies run when you first visit, and you can decline them at any time through the consent banner or its preferences link. Declining stops optional analytics and advertising technologies from storing or sending data from that point forward. It does not delete information already collected unless the law requires deletion.
Strictly necessary technologies keep running because the Site cannot work securely without them. Refusing optional cookies will not block core Site functions.
Opting out of targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time through the consent banner’s preferences link, a Global Privacy Control signal, or by emailing support@asktheconsultants.com with “Opt Out” in the subject line. ASK honors Global Privacy Control and other legally recognized preference signals where the law requires it. A signal applies to the browser or device that sends it. ASK does not sell personal data for money. You can also use the ad-preference tools offered by Google, Meta, and LinkedIn.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working.
6. Sensitive Pages
ASK keeps advertising and retargeting tags, session replay, and keystroke capture off intake, assessment, payment, and any other page that may hold sensitive information. Where ASK measures a completed form, it uses a confirmation event that carries no form contents, assessment answers, health information, tax identifiers, or confidential intake information. If ASK learns that a technology collected sensitive content against this configuration, ASK will investigate, correct or disable it, and handle the information as the law requires.
7. Do Not Track
Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not applied uniformly across the industry, and the Site does not respond to them. ASK honors Global Privacy Control as described in Section 5.
8. Third-Party Providers
The providers listed above process information under their own terms and privacy policies. ASK selects and configures them for ASK’s purposes but does not control every aspect of their independent systems, including outages, cookie-name changes, or other behavior outside ASK’s direct control. This does not reduce any duty the law places on ASK for its own selection, configuration, or use of a provider.
9. Changes
ASK will update this Policy before or when it turns on a new analytics, advertising, conversion, chat, embedded-content, or similar technology that would make this Policy inaccurate, and when a vendor change makes an existing description inaccurate. The Last Updated date above shows the latest version.
